Mission
Nara.Labs is exploring the Natural Language Understanding.
We believe that by empowering people with the scientific method to solve their own problems, we can tackle the whole world's problems better, together. We're always looking for talented humans who are interested in building the future alongside us.
The Nara Knowledge Humanities Artificial Intelligence Research Center analyzes and researches the field of humanities artificial intelligence and new technology trends while facing Samneung Park, where the tombs of Queen Seongjong and Queen Jeonghyeon and the tomb of Jungjong of Jungjong are located, which is like an oasis in the city center.
In order to read ancient texts where it is difficult to recognize traces of decayed characters, we are conducting our own research and development on technologies that can read texts that are difficult to recognize due to age, such as ancient texts, texts, and artifacts, by collaborating with vision machine learning and natural language machine learning, two pillars of AI.
“Humanities Artificial Intelligence for Historical Data”
is an ongoing research area of the institute.
Spacing and object name recognition for reading old Chinese characters and ancient texts
We study humanistic machine learning models for Chinese characters and old Korean data in classical literature.
Smart Healthcare
Based on the results of analyzing Korean corpus and vocabulary data for a long time, we have identified the problems of hearing vocabulary recognition and consonant hearing for people with hearing loss, and are developing a specialized rehabilitation program for hearing loss.
Korean NLP
We are researching in the field of semantic analysis, which understands the characteristics of Korean and analyzes the language to identify and analyze the meaning of a sentence or speaker.
By doing so, we hope to improve AIs such as Saotome, which cannot understand speech.
Blind Metaverse
It sounds like a big idea, but it all starts with a little experimentation. We're working on a new way of communicating information in the metaverse, a hot topic these days. Communication is all about empathy, which is the essence of service. For this purpose, we are conducting research on the idea of metaverse communication information delivery and conversion for people with sensory impairments as a starting point.
NARA. Labs is in this environment.
All of our offices overlook Seoseonneung Park, so you can sit by the window for a moment of contemplation or a brain break. We recommend taking advantage of the birds that pass by while looking out the window at Korea's historic royal tombs.
For a relaxed work environment, our labs are decorated in a cafe-like atmosphere.
We play music that goes well with coffee to create a relaxing work environment, and we have a variety of snacks to keep your sugar levels up at any time of the day or night.
